Vaccines, 3 PCRs, and 8 Days of Quarantine are Requirements for Overseas

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said there were tightening conditions for international travel from abroad. This was done to prevent a spike in Covid-19 cases originating from abroad.


Luhut said, among others, the tightening required complete vaccination, which is up to 2 doses. PCR tests 3 times, quarantine for 8 days, and restrictions on entrances for easy supervision of all Indonesian people.

“The government continues to make preparations to live together with Covid-19,” he said at a virtual press conference, Monday (13/9).

In addition, Luhut continued, as previously stated, there are three main keys to being able to live with Covid-19, including, high vaccination coverage, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, the application of 3T including optimal isoter handling, and adherence to health protocols. which includes 3M and the implementation of Peduli Protect screening.

“If vaccination achievement is still low, then the 3 main strategies will be added with restrictions on community activities such as the current PPKM implementation,” he said.

In relation to vaccination, he continued, data from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) states that there are 41 million doses of vaccine currently in stock in provinces and districts or cities that have not been injected.
