Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan’s Wealth Increases to IDR 67.7 Billion During the Pandemic
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that as many as 70.3 percent of state officials experienced an increase in wealth during the Covid-19 pandemic. This has become a public spotlight, one of which is the assets of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menkomarves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, which increased by around Rp. 67,747,603,287 or Rp. 67.7 billion.
This is known from the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) on the http://www.elhkpn.kpk.go.id/ page in 2020-2019 which is reported periodically. Based on the 2020 periodic report submitted on March 25, 2021, Luhut’s total assets currently reach IDR 745,188,108,997 or IDR 745 billion.
Meanwhile, in 2019, Luhut’s reported assets in the LHKPN amounted to Rp. 677,440,505,710 or Rp. 677 billion. Luhut’s assets in the period 2020-2019 increased by around Rp. 67.7 billion.
Based on periodic reports in 2020, Luhut is recorded to have assets in the form of land and buildings spread across Bogor City, East Jakarta, Bandung City, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Tapanuli, Toba Samosir and Simalungun. Luhut’s total immovable assets reached Rp 244,019,517,000 or Rp 244 billion.
Luhut is also recorded as having movable property or means of transportation in the form of a 2006 Isuzu Panther car, Rp. 60,000,000; 2016 Lexus LS 460 AT car, IDR 1,500,000,000; 2015 Honda Solo, Rp 7,450,000; Toyota Alphard 3.5 Q AT 2016, IDR 900,000,000 and Honda Solo 2020 motorbike, IDR 17,647,000. The total transportation property belonging to Luhut is Rp. 2,485,097,000.
In addition, Luhut is also recorded to have other movable assets worth Rp. 3,382,794 000. He is also listed as having securities amounting to Rp 106,164,485,850. Meanwhile, Luhut is also recorded to have cash and cash equivalents worth Rp 194,009,888,867.
